Usually my blog is about how i feel and all .
But today's gonna be a little bit different .
Its regards to the newspaper article today on Straits times
Basically , this SJI boy actually went unconscious after a judo comp .
Fact is , yeap , the opponent didn't violate the rules or whatsoever .
But it actually seems that , most of the competitors uses high risk throws .
Hurting their opponent by throwing them overhead , and hurting themselves by banging their knees on the tatami(mats) ? And no , the mats are not as soft as u think it is .
By using such throws , accidents are bound to happen .
Like what i told my friend , there's not much choice when you join a judo comp .
Next year , B div will have arm locks and chokes = more broken arms + blackouts .
You see , when you join a judo comp , you cant decide if you wan you arms to be broken or not . If your opponent plans to *kill* you , he / she will break your arm before you tap .
Its as if , someone is pointing a gun at me , and i cant do anything , hes controlling the trigger not me .
Judo is a fun and great sport .
Competitions are fun too . But... can they stop all the super low throws? Gees .
